Here are my artworks. Most of them are created from my projects when I studied in De Anza College and SF State University.

Information Design Poster

This project is to acquaint and to develop the skills of information design. The project is to create clear, effective information hierarchies and communications across a range of media. Emphasis is placed on the ability to visualize highly complex concepts and large amounts of information. This poster is to visualize people spending on Christmas gifts in each state in 2012 and how many Christmas trees harvested in each state in 2012.

 

ReBrand

The project was to re-brand a café or restaurant and develop a logo, and graphic identity for the establishment. The project began with a research phase and proceed through concept development and visual design. A tea shop, Eggettes, which is located in the heart of San Francisco Sunset District and very close to Ocean Beach. They serve traditional Hong Kong street-style waffles and snacks. Eggettes is a typical Asian cafe, hidden away in a quiet residential part of Outer Sunset- that means easy parking!!! They serve a variety of milk teas, slushies, coffees, and HK street snacks, like eggettes, popcorn chicken, and fishball skewers, etc. However, because of repulsive interior design and lack of decoration, not many customers want to stay there to enjoy the drinks or the meals. Therefore, I rebranded Eggettes’ interior design, to make the shop more warm, modern, and attractive appearance and style for keeping customers to enjoy their drinks or meals in the store.

 

Shadow Modulator

This project bridge two dimensional surfaces into three dimensions by cutting paper and return to a two-dimensional world for a portrayal of the third dimension through the use of photography.

 

Redux

This project is to create a series of exploratory representations leading to a collection of reductive representations of an object. This is ultimately leading to the creation of a poster that visually communicates something specific, unique, expressive, informative about the object using only representations of the objects and type. The objective of this exploration is to produce dynamic, simplified visual descriptions of the object, create a poster incorporating formal elements of composition.
